Basic Principles of Good Health

Conventional medicine treats symptoms/observations (high cholesterol for example) as a disease, ignoring the underlying causes. There are three underlying principles of health that are directly related to every disease……

Principle 1. A deficiency in something the body needs. (Nutrients, water, sunlight, etc.)

Principle 2. An excess of something the body doesn’t need. (Toxins, undigested food, chemicals, drugs, etc.)

Principle 3. A lack of flow in the body. (Circulation, lymph circulation, transportation of nutrients or metabolic waste, etc.)

Simply correct these three things and you’ll no longer see the need to treat any symptom, disease, or health condition that might currently concern you because those symptoms will disappear.

Even people in the world of natural health still think allopathically – meaning they think in terms of “fighting” some disease or health condition with a certain substance. It is sometimes called “green allopathy” because it uses natural medicine in an allopathic way. But if you wish to truly be healthy, you must move beyond allopathic thinking.

We can easily prevent and often reverse virtually every disease or disorder known to conventional medicine by simply returning to a state of lifelong balance and addressing the underlying principles of health.

Keys to addressing Principle 1 – Deficiency:

  • Supplement your diet with high-density whole food-based nutritional supplements and superfoods
  • Get sensible exposure to natural sunlight on a regular basis, which is crucial for the production of vitamin D (a powerful anti-cancer nutrient, among other benefits.
  • Make water your primary beverage. Drink water regularly, even before you feel thirsty.
  • Get better quality sleep. Turn off all the lights, sleep in the dark, and let natural light slowly awaken you in the morning. Most people need 7 – 8 hours of sleep each night to be healthy.

Keys to addressing principle 2 – excess/toxins:

  • Eliminate all processed/manufactured foods from your diet. All such foods contain toxic synthetic chemicals, and many aren’t even listed on the ingredient labels.
  • Eliminate all conventional home care and personal care products from your life and replace them with “green home: and “green personal care” products.
  • Stop eating out of plastic, Styrofoam, Teflon, and aluminum foil. Eat out of Pyrex or glass containers. For cooking use iron or stainless steel.
  • Clean your air and water. Never drink tap water. Filter your air with a high-quality home air purifier.
  • Eliminate prescription drugs – work with a qualified physician to wean yourself off the drugs as your health improves. All prescription drugs interfere with normal human metabolism. All drugs have side effects.
  • Stop buying and using toxic chemicals on your lawn and garden. Most commercial lawn and garden products are made with cancer-causing (and liver damaging) chemicals.
  • Engage in regular detoxification/cleansing habits, especially colon and liver. If either organ doesn’t work well you’ll never achieve optimum health.
  • Be sure to work on eliminating heavy metals, chemicals and other toxins from your body.

Keys to addressing principle 3 – lack of flow:

  • Engage in regular physical exercise – walking, swimming, rebounding, etc
  • Avoid dairy products – they promote stagnation
  • Shift to a plant-based diet and eat more live foods every day
  • Boost your energy efficiency – Get a massage!
  • If you have a desk job, get up every 30 minutes and move your body
  • Engage in acts of expression – be creative – dance, music, sports, games, etc.
  • Engage in social interaction – even with a pet will help!
  • Use your brain. Do puzzles, play games, read, anything that keeps your brain working boosts the flow of your nervous system.
  • Reduce chronic stress. Stress stops flow because it creates muscle tension.

How many of these tips should you follow? All of them!

Your health outcome is really your choice. You can manifest whatever level of health you’re willing to commit to. It’s really that simple. But it does require breaking habits, spending some money on yourself (for supplements, mostly), and challenging your old, outdated, false, belief systems that got you to where you are now.

America is stuck in a sort of health insanity, because it believes it can keep taking more drugs, eating more processed foods and avoiding exercise and sunlight and yet, somehow, it’s going to be healthier. It will never happen that way.
